The Lamma C.C. Valentine's Cricketers Ball 2014
It was another highly successful Lamma C.C. Cricketers Ball with another flawless night of fun, frolicking and friendship.
Despite the recent Arctic conditions, the ladies turned out in their best gowns and the men did their best to not let the side down and brushed up very well too. Hats off to those that turned up in kilts too - must've been a chilly breeze?
With everyone determined to have a good time, fine company, typical excellent service from the HKCC and a great band to dance to by our own Ross' 'Red Stripes', it was a great night.
The auctions and raffles went down a storm - even with one very dubious massage prize! Our Club's members can be pleased that we can use the funds raised to develop players, replace worn out kit and help subsidise our tours and Club events.
We can't thank the Ball Committee enough for the great effort that is put in to pull off a night like this. The fact that everything appears to go so smoothly is testament to the work that is put in, so a big thank you goes out to Andy Scott, Ben Cooper, Mark Burns, John Gaffney, Tom Callaghan and Ian Harling for a job exceptionally well done.
